Sacred Music from TAC, #2
Sicut Lilium by Anton Brumel. This short and sweet piece utilizes a text from Song of Solomon, chapter 2, verse 2. I am (hopefully) going to have it sung at my wedding.
Latin: Sicut lilium inter spinas, Sic amica mea inter filias.
English: As the lily among the thorns, So is my love among the daughters.
Hello, and welcome to my blog! I am a Catholic young adult, am quite dedicated to my faith, and intend to do my utmost to defend it within the domains of this blog. I enjoy music in general, and more specifically, learned a little bit of organ, took piano lessons for 12 years, and sang in choir at my college and parish. I also enjoy writing short stories and poetry (some of which will most likely end up on here from time to time), reading lots of books, and spending lots of time with family and friends. I am a graduate of Thomas Aquinas College in Santa Paula, California, and am married to a fellow graduate and my best friend in the whole world. :) Anyhow, feel free to look around and leave a comment or two!
